What is Custom Robot Header Tags : -
Custom robot header tag is quite similar to the Robots.txt file
.Both are used to guide the search engine bots called crawlers and spiders.
Custom header tags can be used to make these crawlers and spiders to crawl your site the way you want.
It basically is divided into 3 parts : -
1. Home page
2.Archive and Search pages
3.Default for posts and pages
All three sections given above can help you define the crawlers and spiders to crawl different parts of your site the way you want.
For example if you don't want the search engines to index the Archive and Search pages you can do so by using custom robot header tags.
There are some terms that you need to understand first in order to make these bots index your site the way you want.
I will be providing a default Custom Robot Header tag at the end of the post.If you get the sense behind the terms i have given below than you can modify the robot header tag , otherwise it is recommended that you stick to the default code.
All :-It means that you are allowing the bots to index every thing or in other words you are saying to the bots that do what ever you want to do.
noindex :-It states that don't index the page which in other words will cause that page to be ignored by the search engine results and it will cause the cached link to disappear in search engine results too.
nofollow :- It will add an nofollow attribution to all the links present in that page in simple words bot's won't follow the links in that page.
none :- equivalent to noindex and nofollow
noarchive :- Don't show the cached link in search engine results.
nosnippet :- It will cause the search engines to hide the snippet for this page in search enigine results.

notranslate : - Don't offer translation for this page in Search engine results.
noimageindex : - Don't index images for this page.
